The Garden Pavilion

The Garden Pavilion

The Garden Pavilion is a ground-up contemporary accessory dwelling unit project that introduces a quiet, refined sanctuary to its site. Shaped around clarity and a deep connection to its environment, the project is designed as a structure of light and air that prioritizes a seamless transition between interior living and the pool.

The building’s architecture breaks down the volume into readable, minimalist components, creating a sophisticated form that feels both grounded and transparent. A restrained material palette is headlined by solid granite walls that provide a sense of durability and weight, contrasting beautifully with expansive glass openings that frame panoramic views of the valley below. An integrated wooden trellis extends from the structure, creating depth and shadow while providing functional shade for the outdoor living spaces.

The interior and exterior programs are organized to support everyday comfort and a modern lifestyle. The layout emphasizes a functional flow, utilizing large sliding glass doors to bring abundant daylight deep into the home. This project demonstrates how thoughtful design and efficient planning can come together to create a high-value retreat that reflects a broader commitment to elevating residential housing through architectural excellence.
